THE STORY SO FAR…
CHAPTER 1: The Origin of Wizard City
In 2023, two creative forces collided like lightning in a bottle…
Hannah Salim and Nathaniel Czerwinski met through their shared love of performance, storytelling, and artistic collaboration. Nathaniel, a lifelong Dungeon Master, HEMP ACTIVIST and music producer, had just begun applying his musical vision to something deeper AND magicKal. HAVING a background in DJing and live EVENTS, NATHANIEL HAD INVESTED HIS LIFE INTO BUILDING MAGICKAL WORLDS AND SOUNDSCAPES FOR PEOPLE TO ESCAPE TO.
That same year, he applied for the City of Austin’s Live Music Fund, pouring his heart into a proposal that merged his passions: storytelling, sound design, and the INSANE adventures he had created through 20 years of Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. What started as a side project; A FEW melodies inspired by fantasy worlds HAD suddenly revealed itself as something far bigger…
an entire PARACOSM waiting to be explored.
And thus, Wizard City was born…
After a lot of prayer, purpose, and persistence, Wizard City was awarded a $10,000 startup grant for live events and entertainment. That moment was a turning point. Nathaniel committed his life fully to the craft. He dove headfirst into the art of puppetry, narrative design, and the shaping of an expansivE MAP OF WIZARD CITY, a living PLANE built from SHARED music, myth, and imagination.
What began as a humble seed with two passionate artists quickly grew into a full-fledged team of collaborators: musicians, puppeteers, illustrators, writers, and dreamers. Together, WE ALL bring Wizard City to life—one show, one story, and one enchanted encounter at a time…
